Summer 2010 Update
Hello 2011! First and for most for those who don’t know I have moved to Richmond as of early October, we didn’t drop off the map just relocated! We also have 2 brand new releases that sort of dropped during the holiday season, so lets now give them the proper push they deserve!
I have brand new 7″s for both Face the Rail and Mirrors and Wires! The FTR 7″ is the first follow up from the band since their killer debut LP on Tankcrimes records! Total Revolution Summer meets Regular Summer. Mirrors and Wires is a repeat artist here at Headcount, back for their 3rd 7″ (second one with us) M&W’s takes the noise into a more traditional surf sound. You will wondering if this is from the 60′s, 70′s, 90′s, now? BOTH OF THESE ARE AVAILABLE NOW!
The Devour – Insect Circuitry 7″ is still going very strong and is an amazing 7″! I saw it make some top lists for 2010. We have been carrying and listening to their LP for a while now and were so excited to be a part of doing their newest ep. I believe that have plans to do another full length you should keep your eyes peeled for this year as well as some touring! Not just another band stopping through your town, you need to make sure to catch them! Here is a review by Al Quint-
“Barbed-wire hardcore attack on this new five song EP. The vocals remain raspy and nasty and the songs stick to a speedy assault although there’s a change-up with the noise-field fade for “Laugh Track” before the pillage continues with “Living Scraps.” As I mentioned in the review of their LP, there’s a hint of early COC in terms of the bass runs, drumming style and arranging but it’s not pure tribute. Devour forge together a hardcore sound with a bulldozing presence.”
We are finally adjusted in Richmond, we are doing a big webstore update to properly show what’s new in shop! We also plan to be dropping Myspace and picking up a new means of digital streaming, we intend to put everything up and also place our out of print stuff up for free download! We also want to hit the road a bit this year, itching from 09′s Seasick Euro excursion. There is a new graphic we will be using soon created by our great friend Perry Shall! Sup dude? We are gonna have some cool merch to use it on!
Up next????
HCR014 – The Imposters – Invading 7″ (Cali youngins making some catchy music! They started skate punk, went surfy, got weird and pulled it together and have a very unique 7″ coming up that I am STOKED to be putting out)
